I am a level 4 qualified personal trainer specialising in women’s training, exercise referral and cancer rehabilitation.
I get so much joy from seeing how, with tailored support, exercise becomes accessible to many people who otherwise wouldn’t have had the confidence to try.
Having dramatically changed my own life when I fell in love with exercise, I have first-hand experience of the challenges faced as a beginner.
- Feeling self-conscious.
- The struggle of losing weight and then keeping it off.
- Restarting exercise after pregnancy.
- The battle of injuries, cross training through them and restarting training completely.
At a time when I felt particularly low, I started a journey into the world of fitness and have never looked back. I was drinking, overeating, smoking, not exercising and not feeling all that happy. Looking back, I was on self-destruct. The worse I treated my body the harder it became to do anything about it. Where I wanted to be, felt unattainable.
Fast forward to now… I am a busy mum of two, working, looking after a home, running a business and keeping fit and healthy. I eat cake with my children, I have a takeaway if I fancy it. I am not naturally skinny, nor do I follow a diet of chicken and broccoli. I have to put in the effort, but with a structured tailored training programme and eating for my lifestyle and goals. I am strong and fit and feel good about myself physically and mentally.
